Regarding: Alta Verde Homes, Inc., and it’s Principal, Thomas Wofford
We met Thomas Wofford in 1996 when we wrote up very detailed specifications on a sizeable addition to our home, approx 340 square feet. First, this required land leveling, a new concrete foundation, tied to the existing foundation exceeding the Southern Building Code. The quality of workmanship, selection of well-qualified sub-contractors by Mr. Wofford speaks well of Mr. Wofford’s ability to select and supervise top performers in every phase of this very detailed addition. The Project was completed in a timely manner and the premises left super-broom-clean.
Therefore, in this Summer, 2004, we had a major mishap. A water line in our attic burst and major sections of the Family Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Breakfast Nook, Front Closet and Entrance Foyer were completely messed up! Knowing of and having experienced Mr. Wofford’s excellent ability as a builder, re-modeler and general contractor naturally, I called upon Mr. Wofford for help. This was and “urgent project” and required prompt and capable people to move fast to clean up the mess, dry out the place and begin major re-construction/restoration. The work is complete in an excellent fashion in every detail. In fact, in many ways, all the damaged rooms are in better shape than they were originally, and I would say, markedly so.
In our negotiations and in the process of selecting materials, carped, new custom cabinets, countertops, etc, etc., we found Mr. Wofford to be extremely cooperative and helpful, not to mention his patience in working on our choices. His choice of “Subs” was top drawer.
Finally, we found Mr. Wofford to be very considerate of our needs and his integrity was without question… if there was any doubt on any subject he went to bat for us. Mr. Wofford has lived in the New Braunfels most of his life, a NB Native, and knows every doggone sub of any and every craft and who is good and who is not. This makes for a big difference in getting things done in a quality, cost efficient and professional manner.
